Obama Expresses his love for Baltimore

Yesterday, The Obama-Biden Whistle Stop Tour came to Baltimore. My friends and I were fortunate enough to be chosen to volunteer at the event, and even moreso, to be posted at the VIP section in front of the stage. It was a long cold day in Baltimore. Despite the cold, 40,000 of us waited to see the next President. To pass the time, we got to know our fellow attendees better. We danced, sang, and passed the time with stories of our involvement with the campaign and our hopes for the future. Despite the 18 degree temperature, our hearts were warm!
When the President-elect, his wife Michelle, Vice-President-elect and Mrs. Biden, arrived the crowd was attentive, elated, and full of the most amazing energy. We listened to his speech so intimately crafted for Baltimore, and for a moment, we were all of one mind. Far reaching our expectations, they all came down from the stage to greet the crowd. They went around the entire perimeter greeting well-wishers with hugs, handshakes, kind words, and big smiles. My experience arc'd with a handshake and a forearm grip with the new President! We will always remember the day Obama came to Baltimore. I am excited for our country, and I will do my part to help us realize all of our goals.
